Investing in Our Future
The Hiroshima Kenjin-Kai of Southern California is proud to support the educational goals of our youth through an annual scholarship program.
Each year, scholarships are awarded to students pursuing higher education, occupational training, or military service with plans for future educational advancement.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must have a family member who has been an active member of the Hiroshima Kenjin-Kai of Southern California for at least one year, and must also meet one of the following criteria:

Graduated from high school during the 2025–2026 academic year and in good standing

Currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university

Enrolled in an occupational or vocational training program

Serving in the U.S. military with plans to pursue higher education
Application Requirements

Submit a 500-word essay describing your educational goals, future aspirations, and how this scholarship will support your journey

All applications reviewed by members of the Hiroshima Kenjin-Kai Board of Directors

Recipients announced following the application deadline

December 15, 2026
Applications must be submitted by this date to be considered for the current year's scholarship.
